A rapidly developing low pressure system, Tropical Disturbance 90W - has been accelerating westward across the southern part of the Philippine Sea, threatening Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Central and Southern Luzon. Based on the latest Global Dynamic Forecast Models (GDFM), this LPA will traverse the central part of the Philippines late Thursday, Oct 1st until Friday evening or Saturday morning (Oct 2-3). Majority of the models show a track across Bicol Region-Southern/Central Luzon Area and becoming a Tropical Cyclone once it exits over the West Philippine-South China Seas.
As of 11:00 AM PhT (03:00 GMT) today, Wednesday, Sep 30, 2015, the center of LPA was located about 523 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar or 785 km ESE of Naga City, Camarines Sur [11.8N 130.2E].
The developing rainbands of the LPA will bring occasional to widespread moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms across the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas tonight through Thursday evening, Oct 1...and across Central and Southern Luzon incl. Mindoro and nearby areas beginning Thursday evening through Friday evening, Oct 2.
