Tropical Disturbance 90W (LPA) has maintained its slow development as it approaches the Bicol Region...expected to pass over or very close to Catanduanes before or after midday today. Based on the latest Global Dynamic Forecast Models (GDFM), this LPA is expected to cross Central Luzon via Northern Quezon on Friday morning (Oct 2) and shall emerge along the west coast of Zambales on Friday evening.
As of 8:00 AM PhT (00:00 GMT) today, Thursday, Oct 01, 2015, the center of the LPA was located about 98 km East of Virac, Catanduanes or 206 km East of Naga City, Camarines Sur [13.5N 125.1E]...with maximum sustained winds of 35 kph near the center. It was moving West-Northwest at 15 kph towards Catanduanes-Northern Quezon Area.
The rainbands of the LPA will bring occasional to widespread moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms across the Bicol Region today through early Friday morning, Oct 2...and across Central and Southern Luzon incl. Metro Manila and Mindoro and nearby areas beginning Thursday evening through Friday evening, Oct 2.
