Sadly though, seeing that the list is for the top 10 richest people in the Philippines, no native Filipino made it to the list. This is a sad fact. We, Filipinos had lived in this country for all of our lives and none of us were able to prosper much. Some blames it on our culture saying that we are far too helpful to acquire such wealth and that some of us acquired the negative sides of the Spaniards like gambling and drinking which is not part of the original Filipino culture. But in whatever light we see, this truth remains. Sad as it is, this people and their growing businesses have provided the country with a lot of employment. Most of us are employed in one of these 10 persons and as far as we are concerned, we are contented to have enough food on the plate, money to buy good clothes and enough to be out on a weekend. We unfortunately do not have the resources to fight this system and we are all aware of that. Therefore, we go with it and as they take over we are contented to preserve our culture in the tiniest places in our country. But this list should not end here, we still have a lot of time ahead of us and as we continue to rise up on our feet, the time will come when we will be able to gain back the pride, that we are the kings and queens of our country.
